Getting Started

Find a scholarship 
Identify what part a scholarship will play in the attainment of your goals. Make sure your interests and plans match the goal and intent of the scholarships. 

2.

Meet with Office of Distinguished Scholarships 
Talk to us about specifics and learn about opportunities. 

3.

Get to know your professors
Forge relationships with faculty, who will then be able to write about you in a detailed way.

4.

Work on application materials 
This often includes a statement of future goals, essays, transcripts, and letters of recommendation

5.

Internal Deadline 
The date which materials are due to campus representatives.

6.

External Deadline 
The date which materials are due to the scholarship foundation.

7.

Prepare for finalist interviews
Schedule an appointment or join us for drop-in hours.
