Pathway to Careers

The UO's promise to Oregonians yields fulfilling careers

PathwayOregon is a promise that tuition and fees for all academically qualified, federal Pell Grant eligible Oregonians will be fully covered for four years. The innovative program, launched in 2008, uses federal and state funds, as well as UO grants and scholarships to defray those costs.

The program, which pairs financial support with dedicated advising from day one to graduation for every PathwayOregon recipient, creates a path to timely graduation and has narrowed longstanding equity gaps for students.

Beyond UO, PathwayOregon graduates are thriving out in the modern workplace, pursuing opportunities that apply their education in real-world settings. Read the stories and advice of six Oregonians, all first-generation college students, who have leveraged their scholarships into remarkable and varied careers.

And they're just getting started.
